In addition to our online boutique, The Luxury Couture Wardrobe offers a dedicated bespoke VIP Service. This includes, but not limited to product sourcing and personal shopping. Whether you’re looking for an outfit for a special occasion or need a holiday wardrobe revamp you can rest assured we’ll assist you with finding the perfect items.

Our Founder, Lionne C Whitfield, is a former student of the London College of Fashion, who has a wealth of experience working in the fashion industry from high-end London department stores to working in Fashion PR. Her vision is for the cosmopolitan individual to be able to purchase the highest quality designer and branded products at the lowest prices.

Hi, I’m Lionne!

From as far back as I can remember, I have had a passion for fashion and a love of mixing different styles, fabrics, and textures together. I have fond memories from my childhood watching Caryn Franklin on The Clothes Show on Sunday afternoons and avidly going through my aunt’s piles of Marie Claire, Vogue and Essence magazines wishing that one day, I too would acquire such beautiful clothes and shoes worn by the iconic 1990s supermodels.

I recall my delight of spending my salary on clothes when I worked in Harvey Nichols, at the age of 16. I beamed with joy strutting around Knightsbridge, Oxford Street and Covent Garden with all my shopping bags thinking I was the bee’s knees. My mother was absolutely mortified I had spent my entire month's wages and had not even considered contributing to the household bills (eeekkk!). From that day onwards, I soon learned the knack of sneaking into the house and hiding my new shopping escapades for years to come (sorry mum!).

When I finally left home and had to fend for myself, I quickly discovered that buying clothes with my entire salary was not quite a viable plan with just one income stream. I had to think of creative ways to be able to pay and maintain the lifestyle my friends and I dreamed of.

As a financially savvy fashionista, I wanted to offer others who were in a similar situation to myself the opportunity to buy luxury fashion pieces at a reduced cost. With my fashion retail background and exemplary customer service, I started an eBay shop selling limited edition, new and second-hand clothes and shoes, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

During the 2020 pandemic, I noticed people were still shopping for clothes and enquiring whether I had new stock. With hundreds of sales under my belt, repeat customers and amassing over 300 + 5* reviews I decided to take the leap of faith and turned my side hustle into a business and that is how The Luxury Couture Wardrobe was born. I now focus on selling brand-new, sold-out items, which are hard to source.
